The Practical Thief by SirTiefling The Practical Thief by SirTiefling
"A young elven sneaky sneaky thief looking for suitable donations."

Here is the promised thief. Don't blame me if your valuables go missing. Most of the voters wanted "a practical" thief. Well, if I know something, it's that I know *nothing* of practical stuff.

The girl is a standard Dungeons & Dragons rogue and an expert cat-burglar. Her name is Poppy Baublesnatcher. I think she has halfing blood in her...

And the city is Sharn, of course, Eberron's own "Coruscant". I actually considered adding flashy adverts. Illusions! Major businesses advertising their services. [link]

Tools: Mouse, Paint Shop Pro.

Now, this is how you design a fantasy thief/rogue character. The armor is light, but actually looks protective. The garments, save for the scarf and cape which add character to the ensemble, look flexible and nondescript enough to avoid attracting attention but unlikely to catch on anything or get in her way. Her weapon is small and inconspicuous, and she of course has plenty of pouches to carry her ill-gotten goods. Even her hair is mostly out of her face.

An interesting thing that I wouldn't have thought of in the first place was making her barefoot, however. Clever idea, since she can't really sneak around very well in heavy, clunky boots.

If there are more guards like the fine fellow you see in the picture... I think our little thief could wear even a clown outfit and survive just finely! :D

I LOVE THIS DUDE'S FACE. Ahahaha I laughed out loud when I saw it, those skanky teeth are great.  I also really like how you handled the chainmail on his arm, would you do a tutorial on that if you can scrape up the time?

Thanks. It's the BESTEST self-portrait I've EVER done. :D

A tutorial...? My methods are so chaotic and unpredictable, I probably wouldn't be able to follow my own tutorial. I think it's better if people follow real tutorials made by real artists.

Thank you for the watch, by the way. :)

LOL.  Oh gosh I would be seriously surprised if you actually look like this guy.   Aww you are definitely a real artist, don't be hard on yourself!  ~bop~

You're welcome.
